Faith
Daily prayer, weekly Mass, sacramental life, and theology in every grade. Boys learn to know, love, and live their faith.
St. John's School is a Catholic K–12 academy for boys — rooted in faith, sharpened by rigorous academics, and shaped by brotherhood that lasts a lifetime.
For more than a century, St. John's has prepared boys to lead with integrity, think with clarity, and serve with compassion. Faith and reason walk together here.
From the first day of kindergarten to senior commencement, every boy is known by name. Our teachers mentor. Our chaplains shepherd. Our coaches build grit. The result: graduates who are confident, curious, and grounded.
Every program, every classroom, every team is built on four convictions about what it means to raise a young man well.
Daily prayer, weekly Mass, sacramental life, and theology in every grade. Boys learn to know, love, and live their faith.
A classical liberal-arts core with 18 AP offerings. Our seniors average a 1410 SAT and matriculate at the nation's best universities.
House system, cross-grade mentoring, and lifelong friendships. No boy walks the halls of St. John's alone.
Every student logs 80+ hours of service annually — in parishes, shelters, and missions across the city and beyond.
Mornings begin in the chapel. Afternoons fill with debate club, robotics, rugby, choir, theater, and the roar of 600 boys cheering on the Lions. Evenings end with brothers, not just classmates.
Phonics-first reading, mental math, classical history, and Latin roots from Grade 3. Recess twice a day, because boys need to run.
The pivotal years. Boys take on leadership, public speaking, formal logic, and their first AP-track courses with mentor advisors.
18 AP courses, dual-enrollment with three local universities, capstone thesis, and full college counseling from Grade 9.
St. John's didn't just teach my son calculus and Cicero. They taught him how to shake a hand, lose with grace, win with humility, and pray without embarrassment. He left a boy and came home a man.
The best way to understand our school is to walk our halls. Tours run every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. — your son is welcome to shadow a current student for a day.
